Hoglund Receives 2024 Hodgkinson Award

Zachary Hoglund, E’24, bioengineering and biochemistry, is the recipient of a Harold D. Hodgkinson Achievement Award for 2024, one of the highest honors a senior can receive.

Hoglund is interested in improving healthcare delivery through medical research, patient-centered care, and healthcare-oriented engineering. He is co-president of Innovators for Global Health, a student organization working to develop low-cost medical devices for partner organizations in Ghana and provide educational opportunities rooted in global health awareness. Hoglund has served as a neurology research co-op in the Hyman Lab at Harvard Medical School, conducting research focused on the neuropathology of Alzheimer’s Disease. He has presented original research at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference and Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting, and co-authored research articles in Brain Communications and bioRxiv.
