1st Annual Bioengineering Research Symposium
On June 20th, 2018, the Department of Bioengineering held its first annual Research Symposium, organized by the Graduate Student Council. The half-day event showcased the cutting-edge research of our Students, Post-doctoral Fellows, and faculty, featuring over 50 poster and oral presentations. University Distinguished Professor Dr. Eduardo Sontag gave the Keynote address.
The Outstanding Oral Presentation was awarded to Ph.D. candidate Jeffrey Bouffard (advisor Prof. Erin Cram) for his presentation, “The RhoGAP SPV-1 acts through CDC-42 to regulate calcium signaling in the C. elegans spermatheca during embryo transits.”
